Regulatory & Safety
Is GrowthSpring Micro-Credit Enterprise licensed by the Bank of Ghana?
Yes. GrowthSpring Micro-Credit Enterprise is fully licensed and monitored under the Bank of Ghana regulatory framework with Licence Number BOG-MCAG-GT-0-0001829. We operate in full compliance with Tier-3 non-bank financial institution regulations and the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
Who is GrowthSpring’s banking custody partner?
All client settlements, check-off collections, and disbursements are executed through GCB Bank PLC, ensuring high institutional security and transparency.
Salary Loans
How does employer check-off repayment work?
With check-off arrangements, your employer’s HR or accounts department deducts the agreed monthly loan installment directly from your salary before net payment is remitted to your bank account. This eliminates default risks and ensures you never miss a payment deadline.
What if my employer does not have a formal check-off agreement with GrowthSpring?
You can still qualify! For verified employees at reputable organizations without an institutional check-off MOU, repayments can be configured via bank standing order or scheduled direct debit from your salary account.
How much can I borrow on a Salary Loan?
You can borrow from GHS 1,000 up to GHS 50,000 depending on your net monthly salary and verified debt-service ratio (DSR), with repayment tenors from 1 to 24 months.
Business Loans
Can informal market traders qualify for business loans without formal registration?
Yes. Our Tier 1 Business Loan (up to GHS 15,000) was specifically engineered for informal merchants, artisans, market stalls, and micro-traders. We verify your trading activity through sales records, inventory stock, mobile money turnover, and business premises assessment.
What is the difference between Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 Business Loans?
Tier 1 provides up to GHS 15,000 (60% p.a.) for daily cash turnover. Tier 2 provides GHS 15,000 to GHS 50,000 (60% p.a.) for bulk inventory stocking. Tier 3 is our commercial credit line up to GHS 150,000 at a discounted 54% p.a. for mature registered businesses fulfilling supply contracts or expanding equipment.
Fees & Repayment
Are there any hidden fees or unexpected insurance deductions?
None. We pride ourselves on zero hidden fees. You pay the published interest rate (48% p.a. for Salary, 54%–60% p.a. for Business) and a standard one-off 5% processing fee that covers underwriting and site verification. No monthly maintenance or ledger fees.
Can I settle my loan early?
Yes, early liquidation is actively supported! If you receive funds and settle your facility before the agreed tenor, you only pay a minimal 0.25% pre-liquidation fee on the remaining principal, saving all remaining unaccrued interest.
